The situation resulting from COVID19’s containment measures brought us all new challenges and dilemmas.

TAFE’s decision was to maintain its activity, protecting its employees in a responsible manner, but also aiming at maintaining the activity of our partners who chose- or were able –  to keep their businesses going and, with this, also ensure economic agents social responsibility in charge of countless families.

We believe that society will have to find responsible normality in the adverse circumstances in which we find ourselves, and we believe it is our role to contribute to this.

Having this into consideration, we have adopted a productive organization that, in the interest of the safety of our employees and society, has offered us better guarantees of protection, even though it impairs industrial efficiency.

We also had interruptions in the suppliers of raw materials that forced us to redirect our internal processes, that allow us an important degree of autonomy in terms of activity.

We keep firm in our intention to remain an active and responsible economic agent, as long as it is viable and safe.

We will assess the situation and keep you informed of developments that are justified at any given moment.

Having started the Industrial activity in 1967, TAFE has, since then, provided services and products related to extruded aluminum.

TAFE is proud to have the APCER Certificate of conformity since March 1999. The quality management system of the TAFE, implemented in the design, extrusion, thermal break, anodizing and thermal break of aluminum profiles, meets the requirements of the norm NP EN ISO 9001:2015 and, since October 1999, deserves the quality insignia of APAL –  Associação Portuguesa de Anodização e Lacagem  – QUALICOAT.

Since 2018, TAFE has a new shareholder structure and a new management, focusing on investment and improvement of its processes. Since then, it has been investing heavily in the expansion of installations, reforming the refuse line, new computer tools and the renewal of extrusion lines.
